Seminar Theme: Four Seasons
Flower of Year: Sunflower
Stitch and assemble a Christmas ornament at BDEIG. On Sunday I will be teaching 8 ornaments and on Wednesday I will be teaching how to assemble the ornaments using a round ornament frame. Of the ornaments, the Wreath is the easiest with only Fly and Straight stitches. Jingle bells beads, and a bow complete the design. Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer and the Cardinal both give the stitcher to try their long/short stitches. The Drum ornament features metallic threads and would be perfect for your drummer friend. The Nutcracker can be stitched quickly with mostly satin stitches and metallic threads. The Penguin and Snowman are both stitched with Rhodes stitch and the Penguin includes a small candy cane in its wing. The Candles can be stitched with Stem Stitch or Raised Stem Stitch and include beads and metallic thread highlights.
All these ornaments fit well in a 2 1/2 or 3 inch ornament.
