Beautiful woven look basket with Burden stitch bursting with lovely flowers for your home, scissors keep, or workbasket

ThA-4 Amber Waves - Kelley

An adventure in thread painting! This is the first time I’ve done anything this large using "thread painting" techniques. Sometimes challenging, sometimes frustrating, always pretty and well worth the effort. EdMar has a limited range of colors (compared to major companies like DMC) but the gorgeous rayon makes thread painting so much prettier! Sometimes, when achieving the "right" color it is necessary to combine two or three colors of thread. This class will mostly be about thread painting techniques; achieving depth using color, shade, component arrangement, stitching with multiple threads, awareness of pitfalls, why things go wrong (and sometimes they do), etc. We will be working on the actual piece. Bring a doodle cloth if you wish to use it for practice instead.
